military career

Stardate: 240008.06

He first joined the ranks of the Intrepid, under the command of Commander Salek , as a ensign and worked under the supervision of Lieutenant Commander Amy DaSilva, the Chief Engineering Officer. And on 240008.24, the Intrepid was summoned to engage in a humanitarian mission, Federation colony on Lonus II. During the route to Lonus II, the Intrepid was diverted to rendezvous with and offer support to the U.S.S. Ranger which was under attack by Gorn fighters.

Both Salek and DaSilva were reassigned by Starfleet Command, leaving the ship under the command of Commander Damian Solare . Upon arriving at Ranger's location, the Intrepid entered her Multi-Vector Assault Mode (MVAM) and engaged the Gorn fighters. The battle was long and tough but the Intrepid was successful at repelling the Gorn assault.

Stardate: 240011.13

The Intrepid, docked at Starbase Eternity, was called back into service to rendezvous with taskforce protecting Trilista. The staff was joined by Commander Camelia Cadan serving as the Intrepid's executive officer. In the attempt to join up with the support fleet, their path was blocked by the presence of a Gorn battle fleet. Instead of meeting the gorn fleet head-on, the Commander decided it would wiser to bypass them by entering a Mutaran-class nebula. Not long after entering the nebula, the ship encountered a badly damaged Gorn medical frigate with approximately 700 life signs onboard.

Two away-teams were sent on board to investigate and re-establish ship operations. Molir was assigned to the engineering team under the command of Lt. Commander Irina Chesek in the attempt of restoring main power. The away teams soon discovered that the ship was carry a mass-defection of Gorns looking for asylum within the Confederation. The Intrepid and the damaged Gorn Frigate sped away from the battle, towards Starbase 514. The U.S.S. Soulfire arrived to escort the Gorn frigate to Starbase 25-Sierra which left the Intrepid free to proceed to Starbase 514. Molir was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, Junior Grade on Stardate 240012.28.

Stardate: 240012.31

The crew responded to a distress call and beam aboard a returning crew member, Shonlada "Dang" Reicha . While the medical crew tended to her needs, the engineering team was tasked to examine the shuttle. Unknown to the Molir, the Intrepid was infected by a computer virus that attacked her secondary systems. Molir was able to eradicate the virus with the help of Ensign Tirian Alexi's neural interface. Unfortunately, the process of removing the virus had left Ensign Alexi momentarily blind but only temporarily. Tirian Alexi is now a lieutenant, junior grade.

Stardate: 240102.19

If life wasn't so complicated already, here were new developments along the Klingon/Romulan/Confederation border . The conflict between three of the most powerful races in the alpha-quadrant began to heat up. Under the orders of Admiral Robert Dolan, Commander Cadan and a small group of Intrepid officers had transferred to the U.S.S. Firestorm, a Norway-Class Destroyer and assume command. The Admiral felt that the Firestorm's present crew were new, untested and would stand a better chance of surviving with a veteran command staff. Molir volunteered to transfer to the Firestorm and serve as the ship's Chief Engineering Officer. Molir met with opposition from the Firestorm's engineering staff, especially from Lt.(jg) Jondar, a native Ktarran.

Enroute to join up with Task Force 3, defending Starbase 22, five Klingon B'rel-class Bird-of-Preys decloaked and engaged both the Firestorm and the Intrepid hoping for an easy victory. The Firestorm had destroyed two 'birds' with the 'Cadan Manuever', using the ship's tractor beam to propel the enemy ship into another. The battle of Starbase 22 was intense, both sides suffer many losses in lives and ships. The Firestorm was among the ships that took heavy damage and with her weaken state, a Klingon boarding party beamed aboard her in the attempt to capture the ship. Three warriors beamed into Firestorm's main engineering deck and began to attack the engineers. Some died from the initial assault, including one of the Klingon warriors -- Molir had tackled one and killed it with the warriors own Mek'leth.

The Firestorm, Intrepid and Mystic, along with many other Confederation starship, were successful in pushing back the Klingon assault fleet. Returning to Starbase 22 for repairs on Stardate 240104.06, Lt (jg) Fajil Molir Keith was promoted to the rank of full Lieutenant for his efforts in running the engineering staff on board the Firestorm.

Stardate: 240104.17

Unknown to Molir, KAM- a sentient computer program from Deep Space Nine, submitted an application for Molir to be the new Chief Engineering Officer on board the U.S.S. Archer now under the command of Fleet Captain Salek . With the transfer approved on Stardate 240104.20, Molir began his duties on board the Archer, including the fitting of a new warp core and cloaking device at Starbase Aurora, the Archer began her weeks chartting, logging and mapping the unexplored reaches of the Alpha Quadrant.

Stardate: 240105.26

An alien colony ship, the H'lesk, was filled with inhabitants from the planet Gaeton. Looking to start a new life on a new planet, but without the necessary genetic material for a viable growth of the species, the colonist have to return to Gaeton.

Within the Gaetoni system, the away teams had been sent to the planet to investigate a distress call from the planet while the Archer and H'lesk dealt with the hostile ships. They soon realized that the current governing species on the Gaetoni home-world were now sentient robotic life and only a couple of thousand of the original inhabitants remain.

During the mission, Fajil was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander on Stardate 240107.06. With the additional discovery of the original inhabitants of Gaetoni who are in hiding from the sentient machines' goal of wiping them out, the Archer was able to gather the remaining members from the planet and aid them in the re-colonization of a new home world.

Stardate: 240109.29

At the request of the inhabitants of Oceana, the Archer established orbit around the planet Oceana for some much needed R&R while the ship undergoes much needed repairs. The other members of the crew wasted no time in break out into the rest and relaxation mode and many depart for the planet. The rest of the stay had been fairly uneventful with the exception of missing crewmember MCPO Vorkov and the decision of Fleet Captain Salek and Amy DaSilva to leave the Archer to devote time in bearing a child. Commander Richard York takes command of the Archer on Stardate 240111.27.

Stardate: 240112.12

Under the command of Commander Richard York, the crew is sent to investigate a nearby planet designated as YT-826. Arriving in shuttles, they encounter a temporal-rift in the space/time continuum which sent the away teams to a different period in time, where the descendants of the original survivors of the USS Archer now inhabit the planet below.

Come take a tour of Main Engineering on board the U.S.S. Archer.

STEVEN FRANCIS KEITH, Commander (Father)
Pralar Star Cluster (by highway@highwayman.org)
Born and raised in the state of California on Earth, he got his first assignment after graduating from Starfleet Academy as an Ensign and assigned on a research ship exploring nebulae and other gaseous anomalies.

On the mission to the Pralar Star Cluster, a nebula that's home to four newborn stars, the research vessel USS Gregor Mendel encountered unexpected gravimetric forces. Unable to establish a stable subspace warp bubble, the ship was trapped between the four stars. The gravimetric forces preventing the ship to move out of the area also damaged the impulse drive system. Trapped for almost 3 days and gravimetric forces increasing, the hull integrity fields were close to failing and the crew's morale was dwindling to critical levels. The engineering team was able to devise a way to employ a form of anti-graviton shell throughout the ship using the shield emitters. The anti-graviton shell helped to temporarily disrupt and cancel the gravimetric forces around the ship. The ship was then able to establish a stable warp bubble that allowed her to escape the location. With minor damages to the hull and warp core, the Gregor Mendel returned to Starbase 121 for general repairs.

During the downtime of the U.S.S. Gregor Mendel, a position for an engineer on the Bajoran space station, Deep Space Nine (DS9), was available. Ensign Keith requested a transfer to DS9. The captain approved the transfer along with a promotion to Lieutenant, Junior Grade. During his tour on Deep Space 9, Lieutenant(jg) Keith received another promotion to full Lieutenant.

It was on Deep Space 9 where he met Fajil Drena, his future wife and mother of two. He currently holds the rank of Commander, he is still stationed on DS9 as the commanding officer of Station Engineering.

FAJIL DRENA, Bajoran Civilian (Mother)
Bajor (by highway@highwayman.org)
Born and raised in the Denar Province on the home planet of Bajor, Drena spent her childhood like any other Bajoran child during the Cardassian occupation; she worked in Cardassian Labor camps. She was 20 years old when the Cardassians withdrew from Bajor. It wasn't until 2371, two years after the Cardassian occupation ended, that she ventured out of the Denar Province and booked passage to Terok Nor, Cardassian's designation for DS9. She managed to get a civilian position on the station as support personnel. Having been assigned on the same engineering team, she met Federation Lieutenant (jg) Keith.

After working together on the same team for about 4 weeks, a relationship started to develop and they got married 3 months later. In the Bajoran tradition, she retained her family name Fajil while simultaneously taking the name of her husband, Keith. Both Drena and Steve celebrated the birth of their first child on 2372. They named their son after Drena's grandfather, Molir. Eleven months later they celebrated the birth of Sydney, Molir's baby sister. Both Molir and Sydney were raised on and off the station, visiting both Bajor and Earth whenever leave was available. At the age of 16, Molir applied and was accepted into the Starfleet Academy. Sydney did the opposite, joining the Bajoran Military Academy.
